Mirka Jakesova has been working as CEP Policy Officer since July 2021. Her main tasks cover preparing and organizing for Presidium and Board meetings, coordinating Expert Groups on Violent Extremism, Technology, Caseload and Workload, Research, Framework Decisions, Foreing Nationals (joint with EuroPris) and organizing for other CEP events (workshops, conferences, webinars) in line with the Annual Plan.

She is also responsible for drafting policy papers, preparing presentations, Annual plans and Reports, facilitating EU-funded project (drafting, implementation, evaluation and monitoring, reporting). Before joining CEP, Mirka worked at the Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic at the International Department taking care of coordination and communication with international partners. She holds a bachelor degree in English and Russian, and a masters degree in Media Studies and Communication.
